Lace is a popular decorative detail for wedding cakes and other celebration cakes; simply press your chosen medium into the mould then flex to release perfectly formed lace every time.

Try using the mould to impress a lacy pattern onto a band of sugarpaste or cut flowers and other shapes from the lace pattern to top cakes, cupcakes and other treats. Squires Kitchen Great Impressions Lace Moulds can be used with a huge range of modelling mediums including Sugar Dough, sugarpaste, Sugar Florist Paste (SFP), Mexican Modelling Paste (MMP), marzipan, Modelling Cocoform, isomalt and more.

Designed and made in the UK by Squires Kitchen’s master craftsmen, all Great Impressions moulds are made from durable, platinum-grade silicone which has been approved for food use. The flexible silicone can be frozen and can withstand temperatures of up to 204˚C.

Storage instructions
Store away from direct sunlight to prolong the silicone moulds lifetime.
Usage instructions
  1. Wash the mould in warm, soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly before use.
  2. Roll a ball of MMP, marzipan, modelling chocolate or your chosen paste and push it firmly into the mould. For sugarpaste or modelling paste, it may help to grease your hands with a little white vegetable fat before rolling the paste to prevent the paste from sticking to the mould.
  3. Level the paste at the back of the mould, or make it rounded if required (e.g. for modelled heads).
  4. Ease the shape out of the mould. Avoid flexing the mould too much as this may distort the shape.

The silicone moulds will be suitable for use in the oven, however they will not be we do not recommend exposing them to temperatures of over 204°C.
