Squires Kitchen Moon Beam Dust Food Colours (also known as powdered food colouring) are fine, iridescent, edible powders which look quite similar in their packaging, yet when applied to a dark background they develop strong, shimmering colours. Watch the dust change colour as you brush it onto a dark sugar surface or dark chocolate: see Sapphire produce a spectacular blue, Topaz a fantastic gold, Jade an oriental green and Ruby a shimmering pink unique to this range of dust food colours.

For a subtle colour with a pearlescent effect, use these dusts on a white or cream surface. Brush them directly onto dry sugar work for a light effect, or apply Squires Kitchen Gildesol to the surface first to enhance the colour and sheen.
